Celia Haig-Brown

Celia Haig-Brown is a Professor of Education at York University in Toronto, Canada. She was involved in rodeo production for 12 years in the interior of British Columbia. She is directing her fourth film as part of this research project. 

Susan Nance

Susan Nance, Professor of US History and affiliated faculty with the Campbell Centre for the Study of Animal Welfare at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, brings her expertise in rodeo and animal history and archival investigation to the project.

Didi Khayatt

Didi Khayatt, Professor Emerita, is an accomplished feminist sociologist who will continue to cast a critical eye on all aspects of the proposed research.

Julia Creet

Professor Julia Creet is a humanities scholar and the producer of a major documentary film now in worldwide distribution (2017). She will contribute her expertise in documentary film as research output and accompanying knowledge mobilization strategies.

Director of Photography

Kate is a director of photography based on the ancestral unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh nations (Vancouver, BC). In her work, Kate strives to collaborate on stories that give voice to complex female characters and the perspectives of underrepresented individuals.

Jonny is a BC based Grip and camera operator.

 

Christian Beard

Sound Engineer

Christian Beard is a BC based sound mixer and engineer specializing in location recording, post-production, studio and broadcast. He is responsible for capturing all audio during our shooting blocks for Rodeo Women!

Lauren Yim

Digital Imaging Technician

Lauren Yim is a camera assistant from Vancouver, British Columbia. She has been working in film for about a year now after graduating from Capilano University for film. Rodeo women is her first ever road show and she couldn’t be more excited!

Mohammad Asif Khan
