It’s been interesting being a woman raising bucking horses, because when I started doing this, there was just me. It’s not a normal thing for us to do. I just fell into it because of the family and because you have to do something with horses like this. And of course, the family’s been involved with rodeo my entire life. We put on rodeos and hauled horses. You have to do something with horses that want to buck. It’s like people ask me why I like rodeo and I don’t particularly: I like bucking horses.
